Priacy Policy

How we handle your data

These terms explain what we collect and how we protect it. No jargon, no confusion, just everything you need to know to get in touch with total confidence. Last Updated: May 2026.

The Data We Collect

We only collect information that you voluntarily provide via our contact form or direct email. This is limited to:

  • Name

  • Email Address

  • Your Message (Project details and requirements)

Cookies & Tracking

We like to keep things simple.

  • Privacy-First Analytics: We use anonymous visitor tracking to see how our website is being used. This data is fully anonymised and does not identify you personally. We use it only to see which pages are popular and how we can improve the site experience.
  • No Invasive Tracking: We do not use advertising pixels (like Meta or Google) or any third-party scripts that track you across other websites.
  • Embedded Content: Content from other websites (like YouTube) may behave as if you have visited their site directly and may collect data according to their own policies.

How We Use Your Information

We use your data solely to respond to your inquiry and manage your project. We do not use your data for marketing lists, and we never sell it to third parties. If you request a password reset for any client-side portals we build, your IP address will be included in that automated email for security.

Data Retention

If we do not enter into a contract, we typically delete your contact information and messages after 12 months. If we do work together, we retain your information for as long as necessary to support your website and meet UK tax and accounting obligations.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you or request that we erase it entirely. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. To exercise these rights, email hello@spotonstudio.co.uk.

Where Your Data is Sent

Visitor inquiries may be checked through an automated spam detection service to ensure we’re dealing with real human beings.

Complaints

If you have a concern, please contact us first. You also have the right to contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at www.ico.org.uk.
